Ernestine (Ward) Jackson

Ernestine Ward Jackson, 85 of Madison, died April 13, 2021.  She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Hassieleen Hendrix Ward.  She was born December 20, 1935.  She was married to the late Terrell Jackson.  They lived in Madison most of their lives.  Mrs. Jackson was a long-time member of Madison Baptist Church.  She was retired from Wellington-Puritan Mills.  

Ernestine Jackson is survived by two daughters, Dana Jackson Pennington and Mignonne Jackson Coppenger.  She also leaves: two grandsons, Stephen Coppenger and Daniel Pennington and two great grandsons, William D. Pennington, III and Matthew Pennington.  She also leaves a sister, Faye Carter (Merrill) and three sister-in-laws, Ann Ward, Gail Ward and Peggy Hendrix.  She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her two brothers, Joe Ward and Larry Ward.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 11-1 PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 3 PM at Madison Baptist Church.  Interment will follow at the Madison City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joy Sunday School Class at Madison Baptist Church.
