Erma Michelle “Sissy” Willoughby
April 28th, 1969 — November 17th, 2025
Madison, Georgia
Michelle Willoughby, daughter of the late, Weyman Willoughby and Shirley Stewart, and bonus dad, Pete Stewart, passed away Monday, November 17th, at the age of 56. Michelle, lovingly referred to as “Sissy” by those closest to her, will always be remembered for her servant heart. She prioritized the needs of others and found joy in uplifting those around her.
A graduate of Morgan County High School, Michelle spent many years serving Morgan County. She enjoyed her time and purpose at Camp Twin Lakes before accepting her role as a Mail Carrier for USPS-Madison.
Her acts of kindness and easy smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life; Michelle was a loyal woman whose love for God and family shone brightly. She cherished her family deeply and took great pride in spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the simple things in life and loved being outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Father, Weyman Willoughby, Mother, Shirley Stewart, and Sister, Jeanette McKenzie.
Survivors include her Bonus Dad, Pete Stewart, Daughters, Mandy Willoughby, Brittany (Brandon) Maxey; Son, Bobby Heusser; Grandchildren, Lilliana Clark, Weyman Stephens, Addie Mae Maxey, Elliott Maxey, Austin Willoughby, Brady Heusser, Remington Willoughby; great grandchildren, Leilani Clark, Brandon Heath, Jr.; Sisters, Candace Thomas, Marsha (Julie Hales) Stewart; Brother, Drew (Morgan) Stewart; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation for Michelle will be held on Sunday November 23 from 3:00pm- 5:00pm at AE Carter Funeral Home, 1670 Atlanta Hwy, Madison, Georgia. The graveside service will be held on November 24th at 2:00pm at Madison Historic Cemetery.
