Elizabeth Holcombe Hammett
February 8, 1923 - April 13, 2025
A child of God passed peacefully in her home at the age of 102.
Among her many talents, she was an excellent seamstress. She grew and canned her own vegetables for her family to enjoy and was a dedicated fan of the Atlanta Braves.
One to always find the bright side of things never worrying too much. Loved to laugh and find joy in the little things. Family was her top priority. She had a sweet spirit and will be greatly missed.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Charles Hamilton "C.H." Hammett as well as her parents, Adner and Jonnie Holcombe, her sisters Opal Walker and Melba Harris.
Survived by her daughter Barbara Hammett Whitehead. Her son, Lewis Hammett, his wife Linda Smith Hammett. Three grandchildren, Steven Whitehead, his wife Angel, Kimberly Whitehead Moon, her husband Ronnie, and Matthew Hammett. Her brother, John Holcombe, nieces and nephews.
