Elizabeth Ann (Ridings) Whitehead

Elizabeth Ann Whitehead, 75, passed away August 31, 2023. She was born on March 21, 1948 in Maryville, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents Andy and Daisy Lawson, sisters Gerry Buchannon, Rosetta Holsomback, Bobby Brown, and her brother, Clifford Ridings.  Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 59 years, Winfred R. Whitehead; sons, Rex A. Whitehead (Kim) of Anderson, SC and Ronnie S. Whitehead, Sr. (Kathryn) of Social Circle, GA; daughter, Lisa F. Bowling of Rutledge, GA.  Six grandchildren: Kayla Machen (Tony) of Anderson, SC; Tyler Whitehead (Kimberly) of Bardstown, KY; Scott Whitehead, Jr. of Covington, GA; Daniel Whitehead (Carley) of Piedmont, SC; Bekka Whitehead of Jackson, GA; Kris Hicks (Jonathan) of Buckhead, GA; Noah Whitehead of Piedmont, SC; Mikalya Whitehead of Social Circle, GA; Bryant Bowling of Rutledge, GA.  Four great grandchildren, Elyse and Skylar of Anderson, SC; Grayson Whitehead of Wiley, TX;

Spencer Whitehead of Bardstown, KY; Numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 1 pm, Service at 2 pm at Covenant Park Church, 1410 Atlanta Hwy, Madison, GA 30650, followed by Graveside Service at Faith Memorial Gardens in Madison.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She loved Jesus, loved listening to gospel music, enjoyed gardening, loved animals and her family. She was a blessing to so many and will be greatly and dearly missed. She passed away surrounded by her family. We will see her again in Heaven.
