Mrs. Elaine Spicer Slaughter 85 of Madison, passed away on April 9, 2025. She was the daughter of Calvin and Jewel Spicer, born July 8, 1939 in Gadsden, AL. On June 19, 1963, Elaine married Frankie Slaughter. They lived in Morgan County and operated their family business and raised a son, Nelson.
Elaine Slaughter is survived by her husband of 61 years, Frankie. She also leaves her son, Nelson Slaughter (Tammy) and grandchildren, Morganne, Matthew (Alexandra), Savannah, Grace, Ashleigh Faith. Also surviving are a great granddaughter, Stella and step great grandson, Aiden. Mrs. Slaughter was preceded in death by an infant son, Frank Paul Slaughter.
Elaine Slaughter was saved from sin by the goodness of God and our Lord Jesus Christ. One of her greatest joys was giving of herself to her family. Her greatest concern was that her family and those she met, come to know the Lord as their Savior.
The family of Elaine Slaughter will receive friends on Monday, April 14 from 1-2 pm at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2 PM in the chapel. Interment will follow at the Faith Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
