Dona Gale Woodham, , formerly of Conyers, passed away January 6, 2024. Ms. Woodham was the daughter of Frank and Beverly Grayson. She was born August 29, 1943 in Savannah, GA. Ms. Woodham worked at the Capitol as a administrative assistant to nine different representatives. She spent over 20 years at the Capitol. Ms. Woodham was a gifted athlete. She enjoyed and excelled at many sports. She had a knack for decorating. She liked to shop and create with her hands but her true love in life was her family. She cherished her children and grandchildren.
Dona Woodham is survived by her four children: Lee Woodham and wife, Dixie, Mark Woodham and wife, Amber, Chris Woodham and Ashley Woodham Bunn & husband, Charlie. She also leaves grandchildren, Lindsey, Mason, Emerson, Laneer, Makenzie, Presley, Alex and Stephen. Ms. Woodham’s siblings are Frank Grayson, Jr., Lane Grayson, Gary Grayson and Tracy Grayson.
The family of Dona Woodham will receive friends on Thursday, January 11 from Noon until 1 PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM in the chapel. Interment will follow at the Smyrna Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Conyers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
