Deborah Meier passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday November 26th, 2023. Debbie was surrounded by her loving family in her last days. Debbie was a loving wife, mother and Mimi. Debbie was born in Toledo, Ohio to Raymond and Virginia Barnhart. Debbie moved with her family to Indiana at five and then to Georgia at nine. In Georgia, Debbie fell in love with horses and showed saddle seat, western pleasure and buggies. She spent most of her time in the barn, and getting her GRITS on. Debbie later moved to Connecticut where she attended business school an education she applied when she returned to Georgia. Upon returning to Georgia, Debbie took a job with an engineering company, where she met her husband Craig. Craig and Debbie later went on to start a successful engineering company of their own.
Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved to take her family on vacations. She loved laying out by her pool, caring for her chickens, and planning girls nights with her amazing friends.
Debbie and Craig took many trips together and traveled to some amazing places over the years. Her favorites were the Hotel Cipriani in Venice, Little Archers in Barbados, Fortlands Point in Jamaica and anywhere in Tennessee with Miss Pat.
All who knew Debbie knew she was the most kind hearted person. She loved to bring happiness in everyone's life. Debbie would light up every room she walked in. The strength Debbie had was truly incredible and all her family and friends will always look up to her for it. Debbie loved with all her heart. Debbie was also an incredible Mimi and her memory will forever be carried on.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband Craig Meier, her two children Nicole Collins and Benjamin Meier. Her two grandchildren Tucker Rape and Lily Collins. Her father Raymond Barnhart, brother David Barnhart and nephew Gabriel Barnhart. Also, her brother and sister in law, Stephen Meier and Tammy Meier, and their two sons Myles and Mason Meier and brother and sister in law, Scott Meier and Kim Meier and their two daughters Ashley Meier and Emma Stay.
