Dale "Hot Dog" Stephens

Gary Dale Stephens (Hot Dog), 72 of Madison, died September 10, 2019.  He was a native of Madison, born February 21, 1947.  He was the son of the late Howard and Yvonne Millwood Stephens.  Hot Dog was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He retired from BellSouth Communications in 1996 and then went to work for Morgan County 911, where he worked for 19 more years.  

Mr. Stephens leaves his wife, Joan King Stephens and a son, Chris Stephens and wife, Kimberly and two grandsons, Liam Morgan Stephens and Shea Gabriel Stephens.  Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by brothers, John, Guy, Charles and George Douglas Stephens.  He is survived by a brother Tony and sisters, Lois Knight, Thelma Pentecost, Gail Stephens, Sandra Stephens, Cathy Beal and Mary Sue Nunley.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 15 at 2 PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held at 3 PM in the chapel.
