Carolyn Rose (Love) Craven

Carolyn Rose (Love) Craven, born December 19, 1943, to Albert and Callie Love of Anniston, Alabama.  Devoted wife to Tommy Ray Craven of 64 years and the pillar of her family.

Loving mother to Lea Anne (Clifton) Harwell of Madison and Tammy Shepherd of Madison.  She lived up to every sense of her maiden name: "Love" when it came to her grandchildren: Tiffany (Abram) Norton, Joseph (Molly) Shepherd, and Zachary (Lorie) Shepherd.  All the while continuing her outpouring of love to her great-grandchildren:  CalliAnne Rose Reinke, Camden Reinke, Zane Norton, Hayes Shepherd, and Landry Shepherd.

Carolyn began her family at the age of 17, when she married Tommy on June 3, 1961. She devoted herself as a wife and a mother and is survived by her loving husband, Tommy Craven and their two children: Lea Anne and Tammy.

As the baby of the family she never could have imagined the impact and legacy she would lead in her life of 81 years.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Callie (Pitts) Love and her father, Albert Love.  Siblings that preceded but were never forgotten:  Billy (Virginia) Love, Zane Love, Jerry Love, Charles Albert (Faye) Love, Jewel (Ralph) Smelley, Audrey Heflin, and Betty Jo (Charles) Smith.  Though preceded in death, Carolyn made sure each of her sibling's families were cared for and still had a piece of their loved ones, within her.

Her time spent in the town of Madison, Georgia included: Evergreen Timberlands and Lambert, Reitman, and Abney, Attorneys at Law.  She enjoyed her time with both and became a noted member of the community with her outpouring of love and joy to all of those who surrounded her.

She will be missed by so many but her love and joy will be felt for eternity.

The family will receive visitors Friday, June 13th from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM.  David Heflin will officiate the memorial service at 2:00 PM in the chapel at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Zach Shepherd, Joseph Shepherd, Tiffany Norton, Abram Norton, Roy Morris, Jr, and Greg Hawkins.
