Bonnie Mason Obituary

Bonnie Elizabeth Mason (Tabb) of Madison, Georgia passed away on May 29 2024, surrounded by her husband and three children. She was 74. Bonnie was proceeded in death by her first husband, Tony Lyvers, son, Scott Mason, her father Robert Winston Tabb and her mother Amelie Simon Tabb. She is survived by her husband Forrest Mason, her son Jeffrey Lyvers, her daughter Jill Marks (Curtis), her daughter Jennifer Lyvers Matthews, her sister Debbie Gordon, her brother Ronn Tabb, along  with 8 grandchildren, Eson Atkinson, Anthony and Lyra Lyvers, Alia Lyvers-Knapp, Gabriel, Abigail, Isaac, and Micah Marks.
Bonnie was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.  She always took care of the needs of her family or anyone that needed help before herself.
She loved yard sales, going on walks, jewelry making, gardening, bird watching, attending church, and her cats. She could never sit still. She was always busy doing something! Cooking, cleaning, helping with homework, repairing the house, always busy! She worked as a secretary to support her family and put in 25 years with the Georgia Department of Transportation where she retired from in 2017. She never met a stranger and always had time to stop and talk if you saw her around town. She would collect rocks or shells on the beach for hours, even picking up the broken ones. She saw beauty where most others would not.
Bonnie grew up an Air Force kid and lived in many countries all over the world. When she moved to Madison in 1980, she made it her home for the rest of her life. She loved being able to put down roots and stay somewhere for good. She loved all of her community and Madison was truly her home.
