Billie Casper Brantley, 82 of Buckhead, GA passed away in the early morning hours on Friday, July 18, 2025. The family will gather at a later date.
Bill was born in Toombs County, Georgia on January 18, 1943 to the late Denton and Eliza Brantley. Bill was preceded in death by his son, Scott Edward Brantley, brother, Denton Wayne Brantley, and sister Faye Brantley.
After completing high school, Bill joined the U.S. Air Force and served most of that time in Duluth, MN. It was there that he met and married his wife of 63 years, Pam. After his military service, Bill went to work for Household Bank for 35 years. Bill was an avid fisherman his whole life. On May 14, 2012, Bill broke a 22-year-old Lake Oconee record for landing a largemouth bass that was 12 lbs, 14 oz. Bill was a part of many fishing clubs over the years and participated in many fishing tournaments. He also helped numerous veterans and high schoolers participate in various fishing activities. Bill enjoyed an outdoor life, living on Lake Oconee, fishing, boating and spending days with his family.
Bill Brantley is survived by his wife, Pam Lundberg Brantley of Buckhead, son, Kurt Brantley (Paula) of Escondido, CA, son, Brett Brantley (Jayne) of Longs, SC and daughter, Michelle B. Smith (Barry) of Port Saint Lucie, FL. His grandchildren are Charmagne, James, Toni, Shawn, Barry Jr, Nicole, Justin, and Shelby. He also leaves two nephews, Richard and Denton as well as numerous other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Bill’s memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
