Beverly Koogler Libby died peacefully with her girls by her side on December 4, 2024, at the age of 83.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Nancy Koogler and her baby brother “Billy”, Bill Koogler. She is survived by her daughters Beverly and Amy Jones, grandchildren Lacey and Blake Campbell, Gilbert and Conrad Jones, and her brother Glenn Koogler.
Born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 23, 1941, Beverly was a published writer and poet. Like her father, she enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading and cranking an ice cream freezer. She was an incredible cook and could sew and bake like her mother. She rode horses, dove hunted, owned an art gallery and sculpted swans out of honeysuckle vine. At the age of 54 she became certified as a sailing captain, which licensed her to curse like one too. She could cut a rug and was one of the funniest and funnest people to be around. She married thrice and made no apologies for her bohemian lifestyle. Richard Jones was her soul mate. Her husband. Her family. They shared the love and passion for raising their children in a style unique to only them. She had a curiosity and lust for life that knew no bounds. She owned this legacy and ensured that it was passed down to her daughters and grandchildren.
Our love for her also knows no bounds, and we will celebrate her life on December 15, 2024, from 1-4pm at Amy’s home- 5390 Parker Branch rd., Franklin, TN 37064.
