It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Shatterly Mullins, who departed this life peacefully on April 29,2025 at the age of 94. Betty was a cherished mother and an extraordinary individual whose love, kindness, and spirit touched the lives of many. Our hearts are also full of joy knowing that she is now resides in her promised heavenly home with her Lord and Savior The Lord Jesus Christ.
She was born on November 24, 1930 in Atlanta, Georgia, and around the age of 14 her family moved to Morgan County. She was married to Fredrick Lamar Mullins Sr., a dairyman, who preceded her in death March 4, 2005. As a loving wife and mother, she always had a tender, caring and compassionate heart for her family and others. She was committed to her family and from a mother's perspective she provided well.
She enjoyed playing the piano, whether it was at home, at church, or with other family members. She also enjoyed reading her Bible and watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball. God gifted her with her talent, and it brought her joy as she would often play the piano during church services blessing many and honoring God. The Lord graciously blessed her with a vibrant mind as she could remember and recall life events. Her life demonstrated unwavering dedication, integrity, and faithfulness to her Lord, and to her family leaving a legacy.
