Barbara Jean (Porter) Vickery

Barbara Jean Porter Vickery, 72 of Madison, died March 22, 2020.  Mrs. Vickery was the daughter of the late Murray Eugene Porter and Alma Herrington Porter.  She was born December 27, 1947 in Fitzgerald, GA.  She later married the late Bobby Vickery.  Mrs. Vickery was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  She was retired from CVS where she worked as a Pharmacy Technician.  She enjoyed crossword and jig-saw puzzles and was a devoted UGA Bulldog fan.

Mrs. Vickery was survived by her siblings, Connie Maddox & Armor), Paula Ayres and Gene Porter & Stacy.  She also leaves nieces and nephews, Lauren Holder (Scotty), Todd Ayres, Burton Ayres, Beverly Joiner, Michael Porter, Alyssa Porter and McKenna Porter.  She also leaves one great nephew as well as numerous other family members.  She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband, Bobby Vickery.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside will be held for Mrs. Vickery.  A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
