Barbara Sidwell

Barbara Jane Sidwell, 85 of Madison, passed away on January 15, 2025.  She was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Alice Young Holbert.  She was born May 25, 1939 in Morgan County.  She was married to the late John C. Sidwell.  Mrs. Sidwell was a bus driver for Morgan County schools for many years.  She was a member of Cornerstone Christian Center.  Mrs. Sidwell loved to travel, especially by motorcycle.  In later years, she developed an enjoyment of puzzles.

Barbara Sidwell is survived by her children, Kathy Jordan, Robin Strozier (Al), Connie Hughes (Dale), Johnny Sidwell, Cyndi banks (Nathan) and Clint Sidwell.  Mrs. Sidwell also leaves thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.  Mrs. Sidwell has two remaining brothers, Charlie Holbert (Patsy) and Leonard Holbert (Sara Lynn).  She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Sidwell and siblings, William Holbert, Nellie Screws, Mazelle Phelps, Pat Brown and David Holbert.

The family of Mrs. Sidwell will receive friends on Saturday, January 18 from 10-11 AM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The memorial service will be held in the chapel at 11 AM.
