Aubrey Moon

Mr. Aubrey Moon, 86 of Godfrey, died February 20, 2022 at The Harbor at Harmony Crossing.  Mr. Moon was born March 27, 1935 in Eatonton to Elmer and Ruby Wright Moon.  He was married to Thelma Shepherd on May 26, 1956.  They made their home in Godfrey where Mr. Moon operated his dairy farm for many years.  He was a long-time member of Antioch Baptist Church.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #376.  Mr. Moon served on many dairy boards, he was Georgia FFA Champion and served as Fire Chief of the Godfrey Fire Department.  Mr. Moon was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Mr. Aubrey Moon was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Moon, his parents as well as his two siblings, Mary moon Harper and James Grady Moon.  He is survived by two daughters, Sheree Evans (Terry) and Melinda Sammons (Dwain).  He leaves two grandchildren, Amanda Woodberry and Dustin Sammons.

The funeral service was held at Antioch Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 23.  Interment followed at the Antioch Church Cemetery.
