Ann French (Boddiford) Edwards

Sylvania - Ann French Boddiford Edwards, age 77, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Optim Medical Center-Sylvania. She was born May 30, 1943, in Athens, GA to the late J. Knapp and Grace Pfeiffer Boddiford.  She was a graduate of Screven County High School, Class of 1961.  Church played an important role throughout Ann's life. She grew up attending Buck Creek United Methodist Church in Sylvania, GA. During the three decades that Ann lived in Madison, GA, she attended the Episcopal Church of the Advent where she often played the piano. Ann had most recently lived in Swainsboro, GA, where she was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church for over 25 years, before moving back to Sylvania a few months ago.  She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband, Jimmy Edwards and a Sister, Laura Boddiford Ariail.

Surviving her are Her Brothers and Sister-in-Law: Joseph K. Boddiford, Jr. and David P. and Debo Boddiford, all of Sylvania; Brother-in Law: Julius (Julia) Ariail of Lake Park, GA; Nieces and Nephews:  Elizabeth Ariail and Joshua Varner of Savannah, GA, Jonathan and Christie Ariail of Thomasville, GA, Andrew and Hannah Boddiford of Austin, TX, Eric and Caroline Boddiford of Atlanta, GA, Knapp Boddiford of Sylvania, and Lauren Boddiford of Atlanta, GA. 2 Great Nieces, 2 Great Nephews and Several Step-Children and their families also survive.

Funeral Services: Monday, April 12, 2021, at 5:00 PM in the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Dixon officiating. Burial Service: Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Madison Memorial Cemetery, 420 W. Central Avenue, Madison, GA  30650.

Visitation: Monday, April 12, 2021 at 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home chapel.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, P. O. Box 74, Swainsboro, GA  30401. 

Masks are requested to be worn while attending the visitation and funeral service.
