It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Thompson, born on November 15, 1953, in Huntley, Manchester, Jamaica, to Oscar Thompson and Daphne McIntosh. Albert peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Albert was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Isona “Cutie” Simms-Thompson, with whom he shared many years of happiness. He was a proud and loving father to his children: Wilton Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Richard Thompson, and Elisabeth Conner, all of whom were dear to his heart.
He was a dedicated groundskeeper at Little River Farms, where his hard work and care were greatly appreciated. Albert had a love for the outdoors, and in his free time, he found joy in fishing, dancing, barbequing, and spending time with family and friends. He was known for his humor, often teasing and joking, and his lively spirit brought light to every gathering.
Albert’s passion for cooking was well-known; as a skilled chef, he delighted in preparing meals that brought loved ones together. His love for food was matched only by his love for his grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart.
Albert will be remembered as a kind and loving man who brought joy to everyone around him. He leaves behind a family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and many family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1:00 PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home on Friday, February 21, 2025 with the memorial service following at 1:00 PM in the chapel.
