I am so saddened by the loss of my cousin, Betty. I grew up in Madison and knew her from my earliest memories. She was one of the kindest people I have ever known and she remained over the years a steadfast friend to my family, most especially to my beloved mother and sister. Though I live far away, I am thankful that I was able to see her last Christmas where we exchanged stories of life in Madison and even spent some time at the piano. I will always remember her smile at hearing a favorite song. I will cherish many sweet memories of her and extend love and condolences to her lovely family. She was a source of comfort, love, and friendship to many and will be sorely missed.

Your mother will always be remembered and loved by so many here in Madison! Mrs. Chastain's helpful and calm nature at Mack's and around town was always heartwarming. The Cochran family is thinking of all of you.

What a fine lady your mother was and how she brightened the lives of many with her kind, caring demeanor! You finished the race with her, honored as your mother and completed the journey with her. She was so proud of each of her loved ones. Our prayers and condolences are with you.
