Michael Keith Walker, 66, of Buckhead passed away peacefully Sunday morning at Emory University Hospital while surrounded by his family. Born November 20, 1952 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to parents Betty Walker and the late Clifford Walker, he left behind two sons Cole and Justin, as well as his first granddaughter little Maddie Rae. Preceded in death was his wife Melinda Walker. The two of them made a great team. Together they owned and operated a hair salon for many years, Mike and Lindy’s Hair Shop. After her death Michael continued his career in Madison and on the lake. He had many devoted and loyal clients.
Also left behind are his sister Dawn Walker and her wife, Meredith, his sister Shondia Evans and her husband Herman, as well as his nieces Nicole and Heather and nephews Ethan and Trey.
Michael enjoyed chilling out by the water either fishing, swimming or boating. He was a self-proclaimed lover of rock and roll. He was also devout in his faith and often went to sleep reading his bible.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, April 5, 2019 at Sugar Creek Baptist Church from 5-6:30.
