Maxine (Meadows) Owens

Maxine Meadows Owens, 81 of Apalachee, died June 14, 2015.  She was a native of Atlanta, GA.  She was the daughter of Hubert and Lizzie Mae Weeks Meadows.  She was married to the late Billy Owens.  Mr. and Mrs. Owens moved to Morgan County from Powder Springs.  She was a member of Powder Springs Baptist Church.  He enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  She loved her family and time spent together.

Mrs. Owens is survived by her children, Belinda Morrison & Don, Susan Goodson & Tim, Billy Owens, Jr. & Martha and Brad Owens.  She has three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  Mrs. Owens also is survived by two sisters, Mary Voyles and Diane Glosson.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1PM at the Powder Springs Cemetery.
