Jeannette McKenzie

Lois Jeannette McKenzie, 51 of Rutledge, died January 15, 2019.  She was at home surrounded by her family.  She was born April 10, 1967 in San Diego, California to the late, Weyman Willoughby and Shirley Stewart.  Jeannette married Jeff McKenzie on December 29, 1989.  They made their home in Rutledge.  Jeannette worked at the Morgan County High School but most recently worked as a claim’s specialist at Georgia Cancer Specialist.  Jeannette enjoyed vacations with her family, especially trips to the beach.  She loved her family, particularly time with her grandchildren.

Jeannette McKenzie is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jeff McKenzie.  She also leaves four children, Whitney Bradshaw & Brinkley, Hillary Reaves & Caleb, Hannah Bennett & Mitchell and Mack McKenzie.  Also surviving is her mother and step father, Shirley Stewart & Pete.  Her siblings are Michelle Pitts & Buddy, Marsha Stewart & Julie, Candace Thomas & Greg and Drew Stewart & Morgan.  Jeannette’s grandchildren are Camryn and Brinkley Bradshaw and Preston is due to arrive soon.  She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father Weyman Willoughby.

The family of Mrs. McKenzie will receive friends on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 5-8PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at 11AM on Friday, January 18 in the chapel of A.E. Carter Funeral Home.
