Hattie (Ballard) Head

Hattie Mae Ballard Head, 93 of Madison, died September 23, 2018.  Mrs. Head was born July 18, 1925 to George and Lillie Ballard. She was married to the late Florence “Bill” Head.  She was a resident of Madison Health & Rehab.  Mrs. Head was a long-time resident of Morgan County.  She worked at Bibb Manufacturing for thirty years and then operated a child care.  Mrs. Head loved to care for others and enjoyed cooking meals for others.  She will be remembered for the many meals she provided for new parents and busy families.  She was a member of Brownwood Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Head is survived by three daughters, Lynn & Frank George (Covington), Tammie & Alvin Greenway (Madison) and Patsy & Joey Allen (Madison).  She also leaves seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  Mrs. Head is also survived by two sisters, Sarah & Charles McCord and June & Winford Powell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 25 from 6-8PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, September 26 in the chapel.  Interment will follow at the Madison City Cemetery.
