Dewey Hiram Richardson

Mr. Dewey Richardson, 86 of Rutledge, died on July 27, 2019.  He was at home, surrounded by his family.  Mr. Richardson husband of the late Ila Richardson.  He was a retired pipe fitter and City Manager of Rutledge.  He was a long-time member of Rutledge United Methodist Church.  He loved Braves baseball, farming and his church.  He is survived by three sons, Dewey Alvin Richardson & Laura, Robert Alan Richardson & Sheryl and Terry Edmond Richardson & Kathy.  He also leaves siblings, six grandchildren and a great granddaughter.   

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 28 from 5-7 pm at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 2 pm at Rutledge United Methodist Church on Monday, July 29.  Interment will follow at the Rutledge City Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Rutledge United Methodist Church.
