Carrie Sue (Patton) Knight

Mrs. Carrie Patton Knight, 80 of Madison, died peacefully at her home on October 3, 2018.  Mrs. Knight was surrounded by her family.  She was born June 17, 1938 in Oglethorpe County.  She married the late John Malcom Knight on February 19, 1960.  Mrs. Knight was a member of Brownwood Baptist Church and a devoted wife and mother.  She enjoyed time spent with friends as well as cooking and sewing.  Mrs. Knight most enjoyed caring for her husband and family.

Mrs. Knight is survived by her children, Dale Knight, Sheryl Knight Peters & Tommy and Angela Knight Bone & Tommy.  She also leaves a sister, Dora Clarke.  Mrs. Knight’s grandchildren are Emily Peters Wilson & Jock, Billy Peters, Amanda Knight Kirklin & Jonathan, Abby Knight, Jonathan Bone, Sgt. Garrett Bone and Lauren Bone.  She also leaves two great grandchildren, Kate Wilson and Luke Wilson.  Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband John and a sister, Nora and a brother, Myron.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 5 from 6-8PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2PM at Brownwood Baptist Church.  Interment will follow at the Brownwood Cemetery.
