Carlos D. Jaramillo, 84 of Madison, GA died August 28, 2018. Mr. Jaramillo was born July 6, 1934 in Panama City, Panama. His parents were Carlos Jaramillo Segovia and Carmen Aguilar de Jaramillo. As a teenager, he moved to the United States and gained his United States Citizenship at age 22. He attended the University of Florida, earning various degrees, including a Masters in Education. He worked for a time with NASA. Later he become a teacher and swim coach and eventually his favorite job as a high school guidance counselor. Mr. Jaramillo loved to travel and visited countries the world over. He was married to the late Beatriz Gonzales. Mr. Jaramillo moved to Madison from Fairfax, VA after Mrs. Jaramillo died earlier this year.
Mr. Jaramillo is survived by his children: Mike & Dee Jaramillo, Lynette(LP) Patricia & Tom Gelles and Lydia & Ken Johnson. He was predeceased by his step daughter, Carmen Machicado. He is also survived by his brother, Edgar & Juana Jaramillo. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 12 at 11AM in the chapel of A.E. Carter Funeral Home.
