Betty Jo (Cofer) Thomas

Ms. Betty Jo Thomas, 85 of Madison, died May 6, 2019.  She was born in Newton County to the late, Herman Cofer and Mary Lois Byrd Cofer.  She was retired from Marshall Distributing.  She enjoyed gardening and bird watching.  She loved her family.

Ms. Thomas is survived by her two daughters, Donna Davis and Cheryl Serrato.  She also leaves six grandchildren; Jennifer Serrato, Jessica Serrato, Justin Davis, Kelsey Davis, Mireya Gutierrez and Ariana Morales.  She is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren.

The family of Ms. Thomas will receive friends on Saturday, May 11 from Noon until 2pm.  A memorial service will be held at 2pm in the chapel of A.E. Carter Funeral Home.
