At A.E. Carter Funeral Home, it is our calling and our honor to assist families and the community when a death occurs. We recognize the spiritual and emotional benefits of participating in the funeral services of loved ones. The time of receiving friends and gathering to honor a loved one is a healthy step towards healing.
While we strive to help families, we are all aware of the COVID-19 or Coronavirus and the challenges we all face, in light of this situation. We are certainly in uncharted waters. We at A.E. Carter Funeral Home seek wisdom and sound direction as we try to minister to the needs of the grieving and also to protect the general health.
After prayer and consideration, we have decided to follow the recommendation of local, state and national leaders. Effective immediately, A.E. Carter will limit all gatherings to a maximum of fifty (50) individuals. We, as always are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to respond to the death of a loved one. However, until further notice, any services, whether in our facility or at graveside, will strictly be held to this fifty person maximum.
It is our prayer that this crisis will pass quickly, and we can then return to our lives and relationships. When it is safe, we will be honored to conduct services that allow families to receive the encouragement of a warm handshake or hug from their friends and neighbors.
Until this health crisis has passed, we pray that, as a community, we will redeem the time we are given. Let us remember our neighbors, check on them often and help as we are able.
We pray for your good health and continue to stand ready to serve our community.
