Philip Oakley

Philip Oakley, Sr, 77 of Carnesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2024.  He was at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Mr. Oakley was born October 17, 1946 in Holyoke, Massachusetts to Thomas and Hazel Bowen Oakley.  He was married to his wife, Beverly Koehler Oakley and raised seven children together.

Philip Oakley is survived by his wife Beverly and their children: Rachel Wright (Edward) of St. Augustine, FL, Philip Oakley, Jr of Carnesville, Rebecca Wilson (William) of Carnesville, Steven Oakley (Laura) of Newborn, James Oakley (Kimberly) of Covington, Marlana Wright (James) of St. Augustine, FL and Rachell Benton (Johnny) of Social Circle.  He also leaves thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 1 from Noon until 1 PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 1 PM in the chapel.  Interment will follow at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Newborn.
